A worry
So weak and small
Begins a flaming flurry,
That ignites any and all,
The fire feeds on the embers,
A never ending cycle,
Upon my mind so tender,
My whole body, to defile.
I try to stop the onslaught,
As the blaze rages on,
But it’s too late, I’ve been caught,
As I am sieged upon,
The fire is all around me,
I’m pinned
The flame ignoring my plea,
No more within,
The ring closing in,
Burning me alive.
The fire tears my skin,
I look up and release a final cry.
Then it’s gone, to be seen nowhere,
And I must wonder, was it even there?
